Where Waco Engineering Services (WES) fits into your Temporary Works Process

According to the regulations, a contractor must appoint a temporary works designer to design, inspect and approve the erected temporary works on site before use. The process below shows where WES fits into your construction plan.

01
Design
( WES - Regulation 6(2)and 12(1))

Temporary works designs are done in accordance with relevant standards and legislation.

02
Build
(Contractor - Regulation 12(2) and 12(3))

The contractor ensures that all temporary works operations are carried out under the supervision of a competent person and with close reference to the structural design drawings.

03
Inspect & Approve
(WES - Regulation 12(1))

All temporary works structures are inspected by a competent person before the placement of concrete. Casting of concrete may not happen until authorisation has been given.
